Rating System Explained
Courses: Aspects of the course are rated by categories from 1-5, with 5 the most desirable: Conditions : Course condition and weather Playability : How enjoyable the course is to play, for an amateur golfer with enough knowledge of the game to understand basic course management and shot-making. A low score denotes a course that is too complex, or even too simple / rudimentary, to enjoy. A course with a high Playability represents a course that rewards good golf shots, penalizes poor ones, and provides the player with an enjoyable backdrop for the round. Prestige: The notoriety factor of a course. Courses with high prestige are well-known to the public, host professional tournaments, or represent sites notable in golf history.
